Colt Expands into 6 Southeast Asian Countries, Emerging as a Global Digital Infrastructure Leader

Colt Technology Services (Colt) held a Southeast Asia business expansion briefing on June 5, 2024, announcing plans to provide comprehensive services in six Southeast Asian countries by the end of 2024. This initiative aims to support Japanese and global companies in their expansion into Southeast Asia.

Colt had already acquired Lumen Technologies' EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) business in 2023, securing network assets and submarine cables in the European, Middle Eastern, and African regions. Furthermore, through a strategic partnership with Lumen, Colt also secured North American connectivity.

Colt aims to further facilitate the global expansion of Japanese companies through this business expansion. Southeast Asia, with its significant growth potential, has been analyzed by Colt using AI, confirming its robust future growth prospects.

Colt plans to offer comprehensive services in six Southeast Asian countries by collaborating with partner companies. This collaboration will enhance Colt's understanding of the network and market conditions in each country, enabling service delivery that considers local customs and languages. Moreover, partner companies will be fully integrated into Colt's support system, effectively functioning as part of Colt. Colt will manage contracts, customer support, and other aspects centrally.

Colt's Southeast Asia expansion is not merely geographical but a crucial part of Colt's long-term strategy – transforming from a telecommunications provider to a global digital infrastructure company. Colt intends to continue expanding its global network, strengthening its digital infrastructure services, and establishing leadership in the global market.
