Salesforce Begins Offering Full Functionality of 'Public Sector Solutions' to Japanese Public Agencies

Salesforce Japan announced on the 5th that it will be generally available in Japan all features of its solution 'Public Sector Solutions (PSS)' for Japanese public institutions. 'PSS' is a solution that supports administrative digitization, and it features various functions, including payroll management, employee portals, subsidy management, business operator management, and social programs. Through this, it aims to digitize administrative service workflows to improve productivity and provide swift administrative services. For instance, the 'Benefit Management' function allows for the search, application, and management of benefit eligibility within a single platform, connecting users such as residents and business operators with the appropriate benefit programs to provide a convenient application process. Therefore, employees can appropriately perform tasks like determining eligibility, calculating and assigning benefits, and establishing payment plans. Furthermore, 'Contact Center Management' supports the work of integrated management of inquiries and information provision from residents, business operators, and other consultants, quickly understanding the situation and providing appropriate answers. 'Employee Experience (Employee Portal)' provides an employee portal with features that enable searching and viewing information needed for work, utilizing various application workflows and supplies procurement, etc., providing an easy-to-use environment for employees and streamlining work such as personnel recruitment, procurement management, and IT processes. Salesforce has been providing 'License & Permit Management' and 'Inspection Management' of 'PSS' in Japan since March 2023 as products that support the digitization of license management work for public institutions. The General Incorporated Association Kyushu Tourism Organization reportedly introduced some functions of 'PSS' from 2024 and has realized improvements in employee work efficiency and cost reductions.
